I am using this processor for a design project we are doing for an oil & gas customer.

The datasheet needs to be revised to make it clear on both the first 2 pages and all the way through that the EMIFA and EMIFB interfaces are limited by the pin out of the PTP package. This is currently the ONLY package the -HT part is available in.

In particular the EMIFA interface ONLY supports 8-bit wide data and EMIFB ONLY support 16-bit wide data.

In the case of EMIFA only EMA_D[7-0] are available and in the case of EMIFB only EMB_D[15-0] are available.

Please revise the datasheet to make this clearer.

Hello Scott,

Thanks for highlighting this discrepancy in the OMAPL137-HT datasheet. In the next revision, the EMIFA and EMIFB data width will be corrected in particular as 8-bit and 16-bit respectively.

The OMAPL137-HT datasheet also includes the KGD (bare die) version.
The reduced pinout restrictions would not apply to it.

We can add a clarification note with EMIF description indicating not all functionality is available in the PTP package due to reduced pinout.

Hi,
a clarification note on the front headline page and in the EMIF section would be helpful. Otherwise it is necessary to work it out from the pin out diagram.
