Hello,

I was using the AM5728 with 2GB DDR3 with it. I config the LISA register as below.

dmm_lisa_map_2=0x80600100;

dmm_lisa_map_3=0xC0600240;

But when I use CCS to watch the memory by A15_0,I got" Memory map prevented reading Ox C000 0000".

I can not read memory from 0xC000 0000 to 0xFFFFFFFF, is it right?

0x8000 0000 to 0xBFFF FFFF is all right.

Hi,

How is your DDR connected to AM5728? Is it one DDR3 chip with capacity of 2GB or is your configuration similar to AM572x GP EVM (or AM572x Beagle X15)? If so, then you can adopt the settings in the AM572x Gel files or the settings in TISDK u-boot.

It's similar to AM572x GP EVM. But how could I get the Gel files or the TISDK?

Hi Nick,

Gel scripts for configuring the ddr should come with the CCS installation, they are located in:
C:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\emulation\boards\am572x\gel
CCS download link is -> www.ti.com/.../ccstudio
While TISDK can be downloaded from this link:
www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-AM57X
Here you can find Linux SDK & RTOS SDK, both contain DDR configurations. For linux SDK, after its installation look at board-support/u-boot<build-tag>/arch/arm/cpu/armv7/omap5 -> you need sdram.c & emif.c

Hi Yordan,
I have a custom board which is designed based on beaglebone-x15. Could you please give me some advice with below questions?

1/ I designed DDR3 with size 2 GiB (16 bit data bus) and boot OK. I want to extend DDRAM to 4GiB (16 bit data bus) --> Does AM572x support?

I modified the u-boot to test with lower memory size (1GiB) and it boot OK. You can see below my configure:

Default configure (2GiB):

and my modify (1GiB) and my board boot OK:

Now I want to configure size DDRAM 4GiB, what modules or registers i must configure ? How does beagle_x15_lisa_regs configure ?
I am using ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-02.00.01.07
