Hi to all,

While I'm usingn a TMS320C6727, suddenly this message appeared:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -233 @ 0xFFFFFF17)
The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken.
An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed.
The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken
with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault.
(Emulation package 6.0.14.5)

What means? Maybe the DSP is broken?

Fino,

Are you using TI EVM or custom board ? Which emulator you are using ? Have you properly configured the target configuration ?

Did you try reconnecting the JTAG connector on the target and USB on the host ?

It means that you were able to connect successfully earlier but not now right ??

Can you please restart your CCS with admin access and do test connection ?

I'm using a custom board and I'm debugging with XDS560v2.

I tried to reboot debugger and PC but nothing works well

Fino,

Are you using the TI EVM or custom board ? Please check the device voltages and RESET are at nominal level ?

IF you have another emulator, please try with that and let us know.

I'm using a custom board: Unfortunately I don't have the electrical scheme.

The DSP could be programmed by two ways:

- via PCI (the board is connected on the PCI bus of a PC

- via JTAG connector

I presume that both ways use the same pin of the DSP to program it. Anyway PCI programming works and JTAG connector shows me the error.

Another detail:

I have two identical boards and I measure the impedance between Vcc and Ground. On the card that works well there are about 110Ohm while on the defective board there are about 65Ohm.

Probably is there a HW problem?

I would like you to check the voltages and reset to ensure the device is properly initialized. Have you done any changes in the hardware before the JTAG stopped working ?
