Hello,

I am running PRU code on Rev A3 beagleboard-x15 board. I have found that I am not getting a timer interrupt on Rev A3 board. While I run the same code with Rev A2 board it works fine. So could you please let me know what is the difference between Rev A2 and A3 board? Kindly help me to resolve this issue.

I am using SDK v2.0.0.0.0

Beagleboard-x15 is a product that is developed and supported by http://beagleboard.org/, not by TI. I suggest you ask about the hardware differences over on their forums.

Hello Biser,

Sorry to create confusion here. It's not beagle board. I am using AM572x GP EVM. Please let me know the difference between RevA2 and RevA3. On RevA3, I am not getting Interrupt of IEP timer in PRU.

The latest schematics were posted to the TMDSEVM572X tool folder earlier this week. The first page of the A3 Processor Module schematic contains a list of changes between the A2 and A3 revisions.

I do not recall any PCB changes that would have this effect. The software may be detecting the newer revision and configuring something differently which causes this difference.

Thanks Paul for your quick response. I have gone through the schematic, but I am unable to identify any modification which cause this problem. So could you please help me to identify any such change in HW or SW by which I can resolve this problem. I have found that the silicon revision has changed between these two revisions. This will become a high risk for us if we are not able resolve this issue.

Hello,
I have found the problem. IEP section of the PRU in silicon rev2.0 is updated(register address and registers are modified), but the pru_iep.h header file is not updated accordingly in latest SDK v2.0.0.1.7. So I have modified that file and now my code is working fine.
