TMS320C6678: Eye Mask Information for KeyStone I SGMII

The SERDES macro used on C6678 is the same one used for PCIe which is capable of operating in excess of 5GBaud.  There is more than enough capability in the transmitter and the equalizer in the receiver to robustly transfer SGMII data at 1.25GBaud.  Use of an eye mask is suboptimal for tuning since it does not account for any of the receiver functionality.  The better solution is to use the available IBIS-AMI models.  These must be requested through an FAE or sales contact since there is special licensing required for their delivery.  These are then used with the model user guide at: www.ti.com/lit/an/sprabw3/sprabw3.pdf.  Please refer to the SERDES Implementation Guidelines at: www.ti.com/lit/sprabc1.  There is also a Link Commissioning Appnote at: http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/sprac37.
