AM4376: GP EVM JTAG emulator

Hi,

Am437x_gp_evm_3k0006_schematic_rev1_4a.pdf

I referred the schematic design of AM4376 " Am437x_gp_evm_3k0006_schematic_rev1_4a.pdf " which has 20-pin ARM JTAG connections..TMDSEMU100V2U is 14 pin emulator...

Is it compatible for AM4376..?? if Yes.. then what is the pin connection for same..??

Let me know if any one can help me with this query..

Hi,

The AM437x GP EVM has an onboard FTDI chip that converts the JTAG signals to USB. You can simply connect an USB cable between J21 and your PC and use the on-board JTAG emulator. See processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM437x_General_Purpose_EVM_HW_User_Guide

Hi,

Actually I am designing my custom board so I am asking with that reference..

What will be the pin connection for TMDSEMU100V2U 14 pin emulator and AM4376..the reference schematic has 20 pin ARM JTAG connections with AM4376..

OK, I understand now. The JTAG pinout is not ARM, it's CTI-20. If you want to connect a CTI-14 JTAG emulator, simply omit pins 15-20. See also processors.wiki.ti.com/.../JTAG_Connectors

Sorry, my mistake. Actually the GP EVM does have an ARM-20 pinout. The EMU100v2 is CTI-14. You can see both pinouts in the wiki I gave you above.
