TMS320C6678: DDR3 speed criteria for C6678

Part Number: TMS320C6678

Hi,

This is just a quick question: DDR3 Design Requirements for KeyStone Devices user guide says maximum data rate can be upto 1600.MT/s (see, Table 5 DDR3 SDRAM Selection Criteria for KeyStone I and KeyStone II Devices). On the other hand, C6678 errata says the maximum speed of DDR3 should be 1333MT/s. So my understanding is that we can still use 666.5Mhz DDR3 clock (to achieve 1333MT/s) with 1600 speed graded DDR3 parts (i.e., We can still use 1600 speed graded DDR3 devices with slower clock rate to meet the errata requirement). Correct, right ?

Best Regards,
Naoki
