BIOS6: Saving and restoring Control Registers

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS

Hello BIOS experts

Referring to Section 7 of the TMS320C6000 Optimizing Compiler User's Guide (spru187q.pdf), the compiler only does so much (or little) to manage the state of SAT, AMR, floating-point control registers, etc...

How does BIOS6 handle this out of the box? What are the recommended best practices to manage multiple preemptive threads that may use these?

Here is my setup:

H/W: C64x+ / C6472

CCSv4: Version: 4.1.2.00027

CGTools: v6.1.16

DSP/BIOS: 6.21.03.21

XDCtools: 3.16.03.36

Thanks,

Ram
