Linux/AM5728: AM5728 reboot failure on the Processor SDK 03.03 after above 10 times reboot command

Hi expert,

We have a reboot test on AM5728 EVM used the Processor SDK 03.03 base on the SD/eMMC boot, and we found the reboot failure after above 10 times reboot command input in Linux command, log is in attachment.

We also do this test on the older version of Processor SDK 03.00 and SDK01.01, and the issue is also found on SDK 03.00 but not found on SDK01.01.

I also see the similar post as:

Could you please have a check about this issue?

Hi Jian,

From your log I see the boot up flow stuck at the below error message:

"alg: skcipher: Chunk test 2 failed on encryption at page 0 for cbc-aes-omap"

I do not think this issue is related to the e2e thread you have provided as a link, it seems to me more related to the below e2e thread:

e2e.ti.com/.../578454

We have known issue in the list:

LCPD-7594 - Several encryption tests failed and seeing bunch of result dump during boot - am57xx-evm

Hope that will be fixed in some of the next versions of the PSDK, till than you can workaround this with removing the crypto module from the kernel (if you are not planning to use it).

yes, the issue is similiar with https://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/linux/f/354/t/578454

I will work with customer to remove the crypto module from the kernel .
