Linux/TMS320DM8148: PCIE hotplug and DM8148

Hi,

It's stated in the documentation that PCI-e Hotplug is not supported by Linux.
But, by searching on the forum, we can find few people hacking the driver to get a working hotplug on PCIE.
As those hack are now a bit old, I was wondering if there is some code ready to use (even if not officially supported).

Hi Michael,

As per the official document :
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../DM81xx_AM38xx_PCI_Express_Root_Complex_Driver_User_Guide . It is a hardware restriction.

there still seems to be no support. Hope you are using EZSDK. Lets see if there is anybody else, having any ready made solution. If not you can give the workaround a try and we can support you, if facing issue.

Hi Mathieu,

PCIe hotplug is not supported by hardware, thus there is no code ready to use. See DM814x TRM and below e2e threads:
