Hello, TI Experts,

Our customer sent us a question about errata(SPRZ429K) for USB.

They found the USB related errata (i819/i820).

But They cannot find any description in TRM(SPRUHZ6I) about those USB registers in the errata like below.

 - USB_DCTL[31], RUNSTOP, USB_DCFG[2:0], DEVSPD,USB_DCTL[8:5],

   ULSTCHNGREQ, USB_DSTS[21:18], USBLNKST

Question:

Are there any document for those USB registers?

 (USB_DCTL[31], RUNSTOP, USB_DCFG[2:0], DEVSPD,USB_DCTL[8:5],

  ULSTCHNGREQ, USB_DSTS[21:18], USBLNKST)

Best regards,

  • Hi,

These errata issues should be fixed in linux kernel drivers and you should not experience problems with the usb.
If your customer wants to modify existing software, you should consider the following note in AM5728 TRM:
"NOTE: This chapter serves to describe the integration of the third party USB subsystem and should not be considered sufficient for those wishing to modify the existing Linux USB driver(s) or create a new driver to support this controller implementation. For those who do wish to substantially modify the existing Linux USB driver(s), or create new drivers, contact your TI sales representative for more information on how to obtain the third party documentation under NDA."

    Best Regards,
    Yordan
