AM3352: PIN MUX tool Power domain warning

Part Number: AM3352

Hi All,

I am going to work on AM3352 processor. I downloaded the latest version of Pin mux tool and started mapping the pins.

All peripherals are mapped successfully. But i got warning on GPIO pins.

I have two separate Voltages.

VDDSHV1,VDDSHV2, VDDSHV4 and VDDSHV6 are connected to 3.3V.

VDDSHV3 and VDDSHV5 are connected to 1.8V

Now when i map pins in GPIO0-GPIO3  there are some pins showing Voltage Conflicts. It is a violation or can i proceed with these type of  conflicts.

Please suggest.

  • Hi,

We're looking into this. Feedback will be posted here.

  • There is no PMT output affected by the voltage domain settings. The feature is meant to help the system designer in the planning of their pin assignments. For the Sitara devices for peripherals with dual-voltage rails there is a chance that a particular VDDSHVx domain is 1.8V and another VDDSHVx is 3.3V. You would want to avoid connecting any pins on that 1.8V VDDSHVx domain with external 3.3V devices and vice versa any external 1.8V devices shouldn't be connecting to a pin on the 3.3V VDDSHVx domain.

Peripherals like USB, GPIO and HDMI will have some 1.8V pins and 3.3V pins mixed and the PMT doesn't have an exception to ignore that.

    Thanks,
    Alex
