TMS320C6747: Replacement to D830K013DZKB4

Dears, i,m engineer and i use to repair receivers that use a part marked as D830K013DZKB4, but i couldn't find it as this number (part code) on Mouser or digikey company to buy it. Even not found on your TI shop.
I,m only found as TMS320C6747DZKB4 or OMAPL137DZKB4. Is one of theese replacement and equal to D830K013DZKB4???
If no one of theese are the same and equivalent to replace, how the processor D830K013DZKB4 is commercially sold on TI distributor, per example Mouser or Digikey, that can be used to properly replace it???

Hi Alfredo,

Looking at the block diagram of the device:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../DA830_-_Overview

I think the OMAPL137/OMAP-L138 devices are the replacement for this chip (they have arm & dsp cores), as it seems to be obsolete (no longer available). However OMAPL13x devices are not pin-to-pin compatible with DA830. You should have this in mind if you wish to just change the processor on an existing design.

So, many and many onkyo receivers use D830K013BZKB4 and they get aging premature issue, with part can i buy to replace it? I have about 30 receivers not working and needing this Dsp processor

Please give me an ideia where and how can i find it. Thanks Yordan

The people who can answer are OoO until next week. It seems that the DA830 devices are available, I was wrong in my previous statement.

Hi Alfredo, unfortunately in this case (for AV receiver) you cannot use an OMAP-L137 or C674x as a replacement. You have to use DA830 or the AVR software will not run. You can't buy DA830 devices from TI (or anyone) unless you're licensed by Dolby/DTS to do so.

I would recommend contacting the AVR manufacturer about the issues; the premature aging issue should be known to them. This isn't something that you can fix yourself.
