Part Number: AM4377

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

It possible to use PRU-Ethernet by U-BOOT Ethernet option?

I have MYD-C437X-PRU development board x2 and i want to use u-boot on one of them to boot image from another one.

I connect them with PRU Ethernet  <==> PRU Ethernet.

  • The RTOS team have been notified. They will respond here.
  • We don`t support the HW platform that you have indicated to the post using E2E platforms.

From a software perspective, you indicated in your post that you are using RTOS but you refer to the secondary boot loader as u-boot which is used in the Linux environment. can you please clarify which OS are you using with your setup.

Typically, the device ROM bootloader doesn`t support PRU-Ethernet boot but will need to load uboot from a flash or a peripheral boot interface. Also, u-boot doesn`t support PRU-Ethernet interface. PRU Ethernet requires ARM linux to use remoteproc linux kernel driver to load and run the PRU so it can be used only post Linux boot on this device.
