Linux/AM5706: eMMC programming

Hi,

We are developing a custom board based on the AM5706 device. The system will boot via emmc and we need to flash it somehow. From a previous project we have a Lautherbach PowerDebug 3 tool for ARM Cortex-A devices.

How would be the best option to flash it?

What extra tools do we need? Is it enough with Lauterbach tool and some scripts?

Thanks Biser, but all that solutions need u-boot already running or dfu, or SD card.

What I mean is how to program a blank emmc device in a custom board without usb, SD or QSPI? Just emmc

I'm not a Lautherbach expert, but yes, I believe scripts could be written to to write the eMMC. This is obviously beyond the scope of what TI supports directly.

Something similar could be done with CCS. You could develop a simple flasher binary and load it over JTAG and use it to transfer the images and burn the eMMC.

You can also use UART to load U-Boot, if that is an option.

If you are already familiar with Lautherbach, that might be the best path to explore first, but there are some other options.
