RTOS/TDA3XEVM: SYS/BIOS & XDC Tool incompatibility & Expected Binaries for TDA3x In Starterware

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS

Hi Team,

My customer is experiencing an error regarding SYS/BIOS & XDC Tool incompatibility, while compiling IPU1_C0b, IPU1_C1n cores on the TDA3x.

error: xdc.cfg.Program: "C:/ti/xdctools_3_50_04_43_core/packages/xdc/cfg/Program.xs", line 71: xdc.cfg.Program : The package 'ti.sysbios.knl' is not compatible with XDCtools used in this build. Please either use XDCtools compatible with that package, or update the product containing that package, or rebuild the package with XDCtools 3.50 or later.

subdir_rules.mk:9: recipe for target 'build-1240299407' failed
gmake: Target 'all' not remade because of errors.

The engineer is using starterware_01_07_01_20 from radar SDK 2.12 and CCS 7.1, as well as SYS/BIOS version 6.46.00.23 and XDC Tools 3.50.04.43, which shouldn’t have an issue with SYS/BIOS, as per SYS/BIOS TI manual page :  "BIOS 6.46.00.23 is compatible with XDCtools 3.32.00.xx or later".

Also, when building starterware for the TDA3x, what types of binaries should we expect, and what should the file types correspond to? He's only seeing binaries for the M4.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,
Barend
