Linux/AM5718: AR0330 MIPI camera driver

Hello Everyone,

We are developing our Board based on AM5718 processor to test the Camera CMOS on MIPI interface. As per software development we check your document as per below links.

As per checking "compatible = "ti,ar0330"" line of 2nd link we need ar0330 driver related to ti. We already search many sites to get that driver but still we didn't find any clue. so please help us to find that driver or provide any reference driver which will help us to make the our development cycle fast.

Simit,

That driver is dependent on the sensor you are using. What sensor do you plan to use?

Our binding document just provides that as an example.

Thanks Rob,

Still we are using "OV5640" 5MP and "ar0330" 3MP Senor only for Deveopment purpose but our Final Goal is to use the 13MP Sensor (those part does not fixed write now).

Actually we are new for the MIPI interface so we need reference to do our development fast.
So humble request to please provide support a way which is possible from you/TI to test the MIPI Interface.

Hi Simit,

The Processor SDK has OV490+OV10640 combo CSI-2 V4L2 sub device driver. Please search for this in linux driver package for reference, I am currently traveling and do not have access to the linux package to help you with link to the code.

Thanks for your support.

We have checked in SDK which is available on below link
software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html
which was suggest by you and try to find the respective drivers(OV490 & OV10640) into it.
We found the driver of OV490 but still does not found the driver for OV10640, so please help us to find those driver.

Also we are not clear for how to register/Link Camera Sensor[I2C Based] with MIPI(CAL) driver so please provide any Document or Link which can help us.

For that any suggestion would be appreciated.

Hi Simit,

OV490 is ISP board and it has ROM code that programs OV10640 (the sensor board). AM57x SoC interacts and sees OV490 and hence you see the code for OV490 in linux driver package. For device registration, please follow ov490 inclusion in dts file.

You can also refer to OV5640 driver code. This is CSI-2 sensor driver code (not from TI but from mainline kernel).
