AM6527: A guideline to choose AM6527 or AM6526

Hello,

Can I ask a guideline to choose AM6527 or AM6526 ?
For example, use cases would be highly appreciated.

The Device comparison table in the DS tells:
- AM6527: Single core * 2 clusters
- AM6526: Dual core in the same cluster. The cores share L2 memory.

Hideaki-San,

Sorry for my incomplete answer. All features and peripheries listed in the table are same for am6526 an am6527.
The only difference between both processors is
AM6527: Single core * 2 clusters
AM6526: Dual core in the same cluster.
but each cluster has MSMC (Multicore Shared Memory Controller) and DRU (Data Routing Unit).
If the A53 cores are in one cluster the cores share L2 memory, MSMC and DRU. For details table a look at TRM Figure 8-1:

Also the A53 cores share power management.
Therefore if you need more flexible solution you should chose am6527.
The prices are not published but I suspect am6526 should be less expensive.
