AM3517: EBOOT not sending BOOTME broadcasts

I am not having any success trying to connect the VS2008 debugger to my WEC7 device.

I am not seeing any BOOTME traffic coming from the AM3517. Is there some EBOOT option that will enable/disable the BOOTME broadcast? (I am not finding it)

I can successfully ping the device.

I can run the remote tools on the device (ActiveSync).

EBOOT settings:

Boot device: internal EMAC

Debug device: Internal EMAC

KITL state: enabled

The CE device is always booting the FLASH NK image. Even though the boot settings are saying to boot from Enet.

Why can't I get the CE device to send BOOTME's?

Hi Michael,

Do you use AM35x EVM or custom board?

Do you use Linux EZSDK v6 ?

This is a custom board that is very similar to the EVM. It is running Win CE. I do not have Linux running on the hardware.

What does EBOOT need to start sending the BOOTME broadcast?

In CE 6.0, there was Connection Manager and an IPaddr was needed. In CE 7.0, how does the debugger get the devices IPaddr? I seem to recall this is passed by ActiveSync (USB RNDIS). How can I prove this is happening?

No devices come up in the "attach device" window.

What is missing here?
