Linux/AM5706: What is TI recommendation for the linux application debug method?

Hi Champs,

TI shows one of the linux application debug methods as followings. It explains about using GDB with CCS.
But I've heard that it dose not work well because it often hangs up. Have you heard of it?
If so, could you please advise me which method is best for the debug?

Hi Kemal,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I will check out the web site you told me.
But I'd like to ask you again. Using GDB w/ CCS dose not work well because it often hangs up. Have you heard of it?
I'd like to make sure that the using GDB w/ CCS is a realistic choice or not.
Any comment would be appreciated.

Hello J-breeze,

Please, see this post. If the GDB hangs that means the two GDB versions or configurations doesn't match. Please reconfigure, rebuild, reflash or copy the GDB from the tool-chain to linux-devkit directory to match the exact two versions and configurations to resolve this issue.
