Linux/TDA2P-ACD: Need mapping between vision sdk release and corresponding yocto build.

I need the yocto project for latest stable version of vision sdk and Linux for tda2p board.Can you provide the details of pulling correct config file with this platform before I proceed to build.

Hi Pradeep,

Details on how to build using Yocto are given in section 3.7 Build Linux Vision SDK file-system of Linux user guide (PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_06_00_00\vision_sdk\docs\Linux\VisionSDK_Linux_UserGuide.pdf).

In section 3.7 I followed the link

I am looking for something likesimilar to ti-processor-sdk-linux-automotive-dra7xx-evm-5.00.00.01-installer.bin

do you have (Processor SDK Linux Automotive installer.) for tda2p-acd(dra76-evm)

for tda2p(dra76-evm) and which does following:

./bin/setup-yocto.sh
cd yocto-layers
mkdir downloads
./build-core-sdk.sh dra76-evm

Hi,

You need to download 3.04.00.03 from processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Category:Processor_SDK_Linux_Automotive and run the same script.

I followed the

arago-project.org/.../Setting_Up_Build_Environment
and pulling the code below(config file):
./oe-layertool-setup.sh -f configs/processor-sdk/processor-sdk-05.02.00.10-config.txt

the build currently has fetch and other build error which is taking more than 2 days.
Meanwhile in order to use on tda2p-acd evm board.Can you provide meta-custom recipe file that can support minimum target file system with less than 30MB of file system and includes ti sdk binaries .

Hi Pradeep,

There are many questions/open points on this post:

I would like to caution you that you should **not** be using "./oe-layertool-setup.sh -f configs/processor-sdk/processor-sdk-05.02.00.10-config.txt" because this corresponds to a later Processor SDK release and this is not compatible with the Vision SDK that you are trying to use.

You should be following the instructions that Rishabh referred to earlier, which is part of this post:
e2e.ti.com/.../2907893

In summary, the SDK version to be used is the Processor SDK Linux Automotive 3.04.00.03 and you can follow the Yocto build procedure.

I would also to inform you that if you are looking for a filesystem to try quickly, the SDK comes packaged with the filesystem that you can use to get started.

And regarding the Yocto build. it does take time because it is going to build everything from scratch. Depending on the configuration of the machine it can take anywhere between 1 hour to a larger amount of time. In the recent past, I haven't come across any build that takes 2 days. Please migrate to a better machine to complete this earlier.

Fetch errors: I'm guessing that this is due to incorrect proxy settings and please read through the Proxy settings guide in the Softwares Developers Guide to have it configured correctly.
