Linux/AM5728: AM5728:DSP core cannot boots up

Hi,

I power on my board and Linux boots up normally,but when I replace the kernel Image in the SD card 'rootfs/boot/zImage' directory with the recompiled kernel zImage(There is no difference from the original zImage in the SD card,but set 'CONFIG_CRYPTO_MANAGER_DISABLE_TESTS=y' in my kernel .config to disable the crypto self-test),and the DSP core doesn't wake up;any available suggestion will be appreciated,thanks in advcance.

Hi Ibiza,

Do you use AM57x PSDK Linux v5.02?

Do you use AM572x TI board (EVM, IDK) or custom board?

Can you provide full console log of your working case and non-working case?

1.My sdk version is ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-03.01.00.06-Linux-x86-Install.bin in my case.

2.I'm using AM572X EVM.

3.The console log has been attached.Log.tar

Ibiza,

I do not think CONFIG_CRYPTO_MANAGER_DISABLE_TESTS=y is related to your DSP firmware loading issue.

Can you try to build your own kernel image without changing .config file. I would expect the same result.

May be you have something wrong with your SD card rootfs partition. When you place new kernel image file there, make sure you are sync-ing and unmounting properly your SD card.
