AMIC110: HSR/PRP protocol licensing

Dear All:

Does the HSR/PRP protocol development on the basis of AMIC110 require the official authorization of TI and additional fees? Like licensing fees for protocol packages? Previously, the development of Profinet protocol using AM335X required official authorization and fees.

Hi Zhu,

Except SNMP protocol from 3P included in the HSR/PRP package, no additional licensing fee is required.

The HSR/PRP protocol is mainly developed by TI which is included in PRU-ICSS-HSR-PRP-DAN_01.00.04.02\protocols in addition to dependent protocol like snmp.

Also as shown on the UG - http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-industrial-sw/esd/docs/indsw/hsr_prp/01_00_04/PRU_ICSS_HSR_PRP_Release_Notes.html#licensing, "the software manifest, which outlines the licensing status for all packages included in this release. The manifest can be found on the SDK download page or in the installed directory as indicated below. "
