TMDSIDK574: HTTP protocal over PRU_ICCS

Here are some more details from my customer: I tried the FTP demo (NIMU_ICSS_FtpExample_idkAM574x_wSocLib_armExampleproject) using the ICSS  and this reported “All test pass” on the UART  so I thought great it can do FTP  but then I tried to monitor Ethernet traffic out of the cards interface  to see the actual packets transferred and saw nothing. On quick inspection of the source code I see it creates a server task and when this is setup it reports “All tests pass” but then it tries to connect with a client and fails with no further messages. I have not had time to do any further investigation in this but was hoping someone could tell me if I can run standard Ethernet  protocols UDP TCPIP over the industrial Ethernet interface to save me any further investigation.

To answer the initial question, yes you can run UDP, TCP/IP over the industrial Ethernet interface.

The NIMU_ICSS_FtpExample_idkAM574x_wSocLib_armExampleproject should work as-is for a FTP server. Please refer to the link below to make a ftp connection to IDK. The default FTP server IP address: 192.168.1.4 for eth0, the PC need set up in the same 192.168.1.x subnet, which may be why you are not seeing traffic in your setup currently.
