AM4378: Ethernet Checksum offload

Hello.

We need to enable the checksum offload on AM4378 processor.

Is the control of this feature now enabled?

Hi,

IP, TCP, UDP checksums offload is not an option on the AM437x.

Do I understand correctly, that If we need this ability, we have to switch to another device?

What the device do you recommend in terms of maximum compatibility to migrate?

Hi,

Yes, switching to another device would provide the option of checksum offload. Please consider though if checksum offload will be a significant benefit for the application in terms of how much network bandwidth the device is expected to handle.

The AM64x series of parts has checksum offload enabled on it when using Linux. This is the latest processor from Texas Instruments Sitara MPU.
