Interfacing EMIF with NAND flash from Micron

Hello,

We are using the DSP TMS320C5505 and we would like to use its EMIF interface to connect to a Micron NAND Flash memory (MT29F32G08XXX).

The flash memory has a read enable (RE) signal for which no PIN on the EMIF exist, although all the other signals have a corresponding PIN on the EMIF.

Note that the Micron MT29F32G08XXX is compliant with the Open Nand Flash Interface (ONFI) standard version 1.0. We also noticed that similar memories from other manufacturers also have a read enable signal.

Is the MT29F32G08XXX compatible with the EMIF interface ?

Where should we connect the read enable signal ?

Is there an application note that gives an example of NAND flash connection to a C5000 DSP ?
