Windows 7 RNDIS Driver

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

I am trying to use the methods defined in the AM335x Tek Reference Manual for downloading code to the device via USB0. It says that an RNDIS driver would automatically load when the device is plugged in under Windows 7.  My system does NOT find this driver and I cannot, for the life of me, find one via the TI site to download.

Because of company restrictions, I cannot install UniFlash (I cannot disable the Antivirus firewall).  I was hoping to try to use that TI tool to circumvent the problem that I am having.

When I plug my device in, it recognizes the device as a TI (Vendor ID 0451) Device (AM335x USB" w/ Device ID 6141), but when it tries to lad the driver for this device, it cannot find one, and does not find one doing an internet search.

I have tried to solve this issue on my own, but I cannot find this driver to download from TI (or anywhere else).  Time IS of the essence.

  • Crispen,

You might find some of the Uniflash documentation to be helpful with this:

However, even if you get this working, you will still be challenged, as you need a DHCP/BOOTP server that can be customized to respond to BOOTP requests based on vendorid. Uniflash includes this.

If the antivirus software is your only limitation, I would try to install Uniflash with it enabled, it will probably still work.
