Difference between Linux SDK and Linux RT SDK

For AM57x, there are two Linux SDKs of normal and "RT".

What is the main difference between Linux SDK and Linux RT SDK?

Is it possible to use all components of Linux SDK except the OS, with Linux RT, samely?

Hi,

The RT Linux has the realtime preemption patch integrated in the kernel. This provides the possibility to guarantee for hard timing deadlines in the kernel. So the RT linux can be used for various realtime applications like industrial control.
