AM572x w/ SDK 03.00.00.04: Not boot-up by using pre-build image

Hi TI Experts,

Please let me ask you some questions.

[Question]
Now we evaluated the AM572x by using GP EVM with using the latest SDK.
But, our EVM did not boot up (i.e. hung up during booting in linux) even though I used the SD card(8GB) which it was burned the pre-build image in SDK.
Does anyone me the same issue?? The kernel log showed as below.

[ 2.618665] Waiting for root device PARTUUID=000e9d84-02... <--- Hangs Here

[ 238.038433] random: nonblocking pool is initialized

Hi Kaka,

How did you create your sd card? Did you use bin/create-sdcard.sh?

Have you tried adding rootdelay to your cmdline?

I used the "create-sdcard.sh" and run the following command line.

sudo ./create-sdcard.sh

Hello Kaka,

Could you let me know if the microSD card you are using supports UHS-1? The feature is indicated with one or both of the symbols below on the sd card markings.

Thanks for the confirmation. Since the release of SDK 3.0 some microSD cards have caused the hang at "Waiting for root device PARTUUID=". I haven't narrowed down whether there is a bug in UHS-1 support yet since I have two cards that are UHS and only one has the boot hang. But until the root issue is found and resolved I recommend trying another microSD card.

I had the same issue with a Class 10 UHS-1 card. Switching to Class 4 card fixed the issue,
