DM6446 how to read /write ATA hard disk

Hi, recently we have acquired a DM6446 EVM. We want to write/read data from ATA hard disk.

If I only use DSP side and CCS3.3 , can it maybe carry out? Or I should use ARM side and linux? Would you have some demo code about how to use DM6446 write/read ATA Hard Disk ?

    Hi,

    DSP cannot access ATA, only ARM can.

    Although it is feasible, I don't think it makees sense to have this project done under CCS. You will have to worry about file allocation and maybe even filesystem.

    You should be able to find examples on Linux HDD access online.
