TMDSIDK437X: GPIO definition

Hi,

I want to connect some relay circuit on j16 connector of AM437x IDK. I have taken a look at LED example but unable to figure out how to define pin as input and output.

Can you provide me example for defining pins as input and output.

are there any pinmux setting required ?

Hi,

In the GPIO LED example, there is some definition like this for input or output:

GPIO_CFG_IN_INT_RISING | GPIO_CFG_INPUT,

/* Output pin */
GPIO_DEVICE_CONFIG( (GPIO_USER0_LED_PORT_NUM + 1), GPIO_USER0_LED_PIN_NUM) |
GPIO_CFG_OUTPUT
};

For the PINMUX, the pinmux source file is under pdk_am437x_1_0_5\packages\ti\starterware\board\am43xx. The pre-build pinmux is under pdk_am437x_1_0_5\packages\ti\starterware\tools\pinmux_config\am43xx. If you use the pin different from the default, then you need to modify and rebuild: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_Board_Support "Custom Board Addition".
