AM3358: NAND flash

hello,

We now nand flash of micron (MT29F4G08ABAEAH4-IT:E) with am3358. Micron stop to produce those parts in future.

We interested to know witch nand flash is suitable. According to table 26-14 we want to use nand parts with 4096 page size and bus width of X8.

I get device id but i don't know what is the part vendor use those device id.

I would like to get any direction in this issue and maybe any part numbers for suitable nand parts?

Hi,

TI does not manufacture NAND flash memories. You should work on this with your component supplier.

I know that. My question was if according to datasheet ti is recommend about parts vendors with suitable nand parts to work with am3358?

No, we don't have a list of recommended parts. Note that before going through Table 26-14 you should check if the NAND memory you intend to use is ONFI compliant. If it is the ROM code will extract the NAND structure from the ONFI information. The list from Table 26-14 comes secondary to that and is used by the ROM code only if ONFI identification fails, i.e. if the NAND is not ONFI compliant. Nowadays almost all NAND memories are ONFI compliant.

Also i want to know if the am3358 can use 4-bit ecc correction nand flash on bch8?
