RTOS/AM3358: DMTimer use in USB driver

Dear Champs,

Could you please explain why dmtimer was used in USB driver examples and what is the purpose of DMtimer for AM335x?

I found dmtimer was used in both usb examples of usb_dev_msc_evmAM335x_arm_project and usb_host_msc_evmAM335x_arm_project, and want to check what is the purpose of this dmtimer in USB driver.

Hi,

If you look at the USB project, there is a PDK_INSTALL_PATH/ti/drv/usb/example/bios/biosTimer.c inside it. This function uses DMTimer to implement many time related functions like usb_osalDelayMs(), etc. Those functions are used inside USB driver example.
