If yes, can we provide proper drivers to customers?

Hi,

We don't support GPMC driver on AM5728: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_Release_Notes

Issue is that IDK EVM has EMMC NAND and SPI NOR, for the GP EVM, there is no NAND or NOR so we can't test them over GPMC interface.

The AM335x has GPMC driver. The AM335x ICE board has: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM335x_Industrial_Communication_Engine_EVM_Rev2_1_HW_User_Guide

NOR Flash
A 16Mbit, M29W160EB NOR Parallel Flash memory is used in this design. This NOR flash is connected to the GPMC interface of the processor and is connected as a halfword (16bit) data width only

You may refer to the driver under pdk_am335x_1_0_9\packages\ti\drv\gpmc

Dear lding,

I need to use GPMC on AM5728 (DSP & TI-RTOS).
In order to import "pdk_am335x_1_0_9\packages\ti\drv\gpmc" to "pdk_am57xx_1_0_8", what should I do?
Could you list what to do? or Let me know some references and examples.

If you intended to port AM335x GPMC driver to AM572x, the GPMC driver for AM335x is pdk_am335x_1_0_9\packages\ti\drv\gpmc\test\src\main_gpmc_flash_test.c. The first function is Board_init(), you need to check the PINMUX and PRCM domain for the GPMC on AM572x to make sure it is correct: We have some info here for how to make a customized board. processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_Board_Support

Next function is GPMC_initConfig(), this is HW specific, you can refer to pdk_am335x_1_0_9\packages\ti\drv\gpmc\soc\AM335x\gpmc_soc.c

The last function is gpmc_test(), it depends on what connected to the GPMC end for your case. In AM335x, it is connected to a NOR flash, so we have flash driver here to do open/read/write.
