AM5708: Pin PR2_MIIx_RXLINK pin additional information

Part Number: AM5708

Looking for some additional information on the PR2_MII0_RXLINK and PR2_MII1_RXLINK input pins. I assume these pins originate from the PHY with regard to Link Status. Are they required to implement PRP? If yes, what is the polarity when LINK is ACTIVE? If not required, is a pull-up or pull-down required.

Hi RD,

That's correct - these RXLINK pins are connected to PHY for fast detection of link status. It's used in EtherCAT and not required for PRP. When the link status are determined by the MDIO internal state machine, the signals from RXLINK are 'not care', then no requirement for pull-up/down.
