Hello,

My customer uses the DRA7xx EVM (J6EVM5777) along with the WiLink WL1837MODCOM8I module and the Android Oreo distribution (link). Android is able to detect the Wi-Fi module but not the BT one.

They observed that the WL1835 it is declared to be using the mmc4, but this is only the part of the WI-FI controller (dra7-evm-common.dtsi). They have not found any information about BT. BT is connected to UART3 on the board, but UART3 is declared as “disabled” in dra7.dtsi.

Could you please explain the process to enable the BT module in this configuration? Thank you.

Android SDK for Jacinto6 does not support BlueTooth.

Did we ever support BT on one of our Android releases? If not, is it supported on the J6 Processor Linux SDK?

The last support we had in Android SDK is during Android Lollipop with Kernel 3.14 releases.

The question is better answered in WiLink forum.

We, do not support Android porting for WL8 Bluetooth. However, customers are encouraged to check with 3rd parties to check their ports. One suggested 3rd is : Witekio
Other customers, made their own port based on Linaro Android builds using WL8 with HIKEY:
