Linux/AM4376: McSPI as slave

Hi,

I read a lot about SPI as slave in Linux. Most people are telling, that it is not possible.
Before I worked with Linux I tested TI Rtos and there it is possible. So AM437x runs as slave mode for spi.

But does the McSpi driver supports spi slave?

If yes, what do I have to configure?

Hi,

The Linux SPI driver supports only Master mode. Slave mode is not supported. See software-dl.ti.com/.../Foundational_Components_Kernel_Drivers.html

In the Linux Processor SDK provided by TI there is no such driver.

Whats about that patch? Would it make the linux work as a spi slave?

Hi, Stefan,

It is not supported by TI/Processor SDK. You can try the patch to see if it works. The patch has not been tested by TI on TI platforms.
