AM5726: Industrial communication gateway

Hi,

I am considering a gateway for industrial communication. I want to realize this in one chip.
Is there a device that can realize the following functions with Sitara in one chip?

1. EtherNet/IP Master + EtherNet/IP Slave + EtherCAT Master + EtherCAT Slave
2. EtherNet/IP Master + EtherCAT Master
3. EtherNet/IP Slave + EtherCAT Slave
4. Standard TCP/IP + EtherNet/IP Master + EtherNet/IP Slave
5. Standard TCP/IP + EtherCAT Master + EtherCAT Slave

Can each combination mentioned above be realized with AM57xx?
Also, is there a possibility that can be realized with AM335x or AM437x?

    Hi H.U, please see my comments below

    1. EtherNet/IP Master + EtherNet/IP Slave + EtherCAT Master + EtherCAT Slave

    PC-- If both, EIP and EtherCAT master only use 1 port (no redundancy, nor DLR), then AM57x could be an option. In this scenario, each of the GMAC ports would run a master, and each of the PRU-ICSS would run an slave.

    Maybe one chip to consider is AM65x. Here you can have up to 3 PRU-ICSSG + Giga Eth (CPSW) port

    2. EtherNet/IP Master + EtherCAT Master

    PC-- you can use AM437x if both master can perform OK with  1 core A9, and one master only uses 1port. AM572x might be a better/ more-relax fit, as each protocol can run in an independent core, and each master can run in an independent PRU-ICSS.

     
    3. EtherNet/IP Slave + EtherCAT Slave

    PC-- For two slaves, you would need 2x PRU-ICSS. AM572x sounds a good fit to me.


    4. Standard TCP/IP + EtherNet/IP Master + EtherNet/IP Slave

    PC-- AM572x has 2x PRU-ICSS and  a GMAC (switch). AM572x is a good fit to me.


    5. Standard TCP/IP + EtherCAT Master + EtherCAT Slave

    PC-- AM572x has 2x PRU-ICSS and  a GMAC (switch). AM572x is a good fit to me.
