Q: I’m developing an application based on TI’s Digital Media and Davinci family of devices and I have some questions and need some support. Can you help me? Do you have alternatives to these processors?

 

A: Thanks for reaching out. The parts mentioned above have very limited support from TI. These product will continue to be in production to support existing customers*. Please note that the Digital Media and Davinci family of devices were specifically designed for use in video-enabled applications, and we do have other recent processors that are designed to support a broad set of these applications. These newer processors are comprised of the AM57x family of devices. While they are not direct replacements for the various Digital Media and Davinci processors, we recommend evaluating the following devices(s) as potential alternatives:
