Linux/AM5728: Hard floating point usage

Part Number: AM5728

Tool/software: Linux

Does AM5728 use hard-float by default? If not, how can I use the hard-float?

  • Hello,

The Processor SDK for Linux contains a Linaro based toolchain for Cortex A devices. The Linaro toolchain also enables hardware floating point (hardfp) support.

The Processor SDK for Linux uses a Linaro based tool chain. Other than using a newer version of GCC the Linaro tool chain also supports hard floating point also known as Hard-FP. Hard-FP uses the FPU on the ARM instead of simulating it.

    Regards.
