[DRA829] What is the relationship between the DIO module and the PORT module in the EB tersos?

HI,

I want to know what is the relationship between the DIO module and the PORT module in the EB tersos!!!!

In DRA829 processor, we can use EB configuration DIO module ,,but the port module must ues other tool configuration ---- pinmux,,BBBUT We don't know the correspondence between them.,

Example, the port AC4 mapping to Dio which one is the correct!!!,my means is which one DioPortId and DioChannelId is relation to AC4!!!

By the way, Does TI have documentation for this?

Hi Linda,

DIO module provides services for reading and writing GPIO pins(DioChannelId).

DIO Port is several GPIO pins that are grouped by hardware.

PORT module is different in terms of AUTOSAR which is used to perform pin mux of the ports available in hardware.

PORT module is not provided as part of MCUSW as it is recommended to do pin mux configuration in SBL/Application Startup code.

Please refer API DioApp_Startup in mcusw\mcal_drv\mcal\examples\Dio\dio_app\DioApp.c in which pin mux for GPIO pins WKUP_GPIO0_0,1,8,50 are performed for reference.

And there is a new problem, EB generator two C files Dio_PlatformDra80X.c and Dio_PlatformJ721E.c , which one should used in DRA829 project?

And there is a new problem, in MCAL static lib has two C files Dio_PlatformDra80X.c and Dio_PlatformJ721E.c , which one should used in DRA829 project?

Hello,

DIO Port is several GPIO pins that are grouped by hardware.

I chenk datasheet again and focus on 14778 pages,seen on this page GPIO_BANK7_[0-15] GPIO0_[112:127]; I think he means GPIO0_127 in GPIO0_B67_CH31 in DIO in EB tersos!!

But In the Dio_cfg.h file I can't find the GPIO0_B67_CH31。 Why?

Now I need use GPIO0_127 pin,How?

Hi Linda,

Please find my answer below.

In Dio_Cfg.h, configuration generated is for demonstration purpose and only 96 pins are configured. User needs to configure remaining pins if required.User needs to install EB and have activation key to work on that. You need to configure new Port with name GPIO0_B67_CH31 and assign channel ID 415 to use GPIO0_127 pin.

Hi，

All right，maybe I didn't describe my problem clearly.

I already complete configuration in EB and pinmux，and call Board_Init function to Init pinmux config，but it doesn't work，which means I configure the GPIO_127 direction is output ,pin mode is 7 in pinmux and configure Dio in EB and so on .,but it doesn’t work!
