TDA3XEVM: Why does Fast boot usecase not allow ipu1_1 to be added?

Regarding to IPU1_1, I’m seeing the following statement in the user guide.

In the first note, you can add cores as needed.

But "fast_boot_iss_capture_isp_simcop_pd_display" IPU1_1 is not allowed when testing options 3 and 4.

What is the cause of this?

Does "FAST_BOOT_INCLUDE=yes" affect the use of IPU1_1?

I need to use my own fastboot usecase by modify "fast_boot_iss_capture_isp_simcop_pd_display" and I need IPU1_0, IPU1_1, DSP1.

Hi,

By default we test fastboot usecase by disabling IPU1_1 core.

Can you please check when you enable IPU1_1 in the build.

Are you able to boot.

And whats the use of IPU1_1. can you tell us?

Hi,

So with the default usecase which does not have any link running on IPU1_1, when you just enable IPU1_1 in your build you are not able to boot?

I do not want you to include dcan link now. Just add ipu1_1 in build and do not modify the usecase.

Hi,

I borrowed the EVM Board to do the test and just open IPU1_0, IPU1_1, DSP1, DSP2, EVE, FAST_BOOT_INCLUDE, there will be a hang problem, if I do not open IPU1_1, it will not

I do not modify any src code , make sure it is clean

Hi,

I tried to reproduce this issue and yes when IPU1_1 is included in the build it gets hangs.

I will raise a bug for this and we try to resolve it in our upcoming releases.

We have reported a bug, we will try to address this in upcoming release in December.
