TDA2HG: How to run the timer to listen the callback of capture link?

According to your suggestion a week ago, we want to run a timer to listen that  if the frame time period is 33ms, then set the timer expiry value to slightly more than 33m and in every callback, reset the timer. If timer callback is called, then frame is not captured for this channel.

While, we add timer task in capture link  with the API of BspOsal_clockCreate, but it is not support the way in capture link. So, how do we do?

Hi Terence,

Correct, Capture link does not support it. But i think clock/timer is implemented in the IPC out/in links, so you could use it as reference.

Essentially, you could create a timer in the link create API, then start the timer in link start, reset the timer in every capture callback. 

If ever timer callback is hit, it means capture did not give callback and there was a delay or drop in frame..

No, you cannot use timer created in ipc out/in link. I am saying, use this implementation as a reference and implement similar mechanism in capture link..

Call below from capture create API

pObj->timer = BspOsal_clockCreate(
&capture_timerCallback,
66, (Bool)FALSE, pObj);

From the capture ISR, calll

BspOsal_clockStop(pObj->timer);

BspOsal_clockStart(pObj->timer);

If you ever see ISR, capture_timerCallback, getting called, it means the capture did not happen.

Since it is supported in ipc_out/in links, so it is supported in ipu. You may just need to include some header file.

We add the struct CaptureLink_Obj_t member of "BspOsal_ClockHandle timer" in captureLink._priv.h. It can add the timer in the capture link successfully. Is there any API can reset this timer in every capture callback? 

we find below API used for timer ,which one can reset the timer?
