Hello Champions,

Can TPS65218D0 be used to power AM4372 when disabling RTC?

Customer has read below appication note.
Powering the AM335x, AM437x, and AM438x with TPS65218 (Rev. B)

But the document only describes how to use TPS65218D0 to power AM4372 when enabing RTC. He doesn't want to use RTC and found the TPS65218D0 power up sequence doesn't match the AM4372 power sequence requirement.

Below are the power sequence for AM4372 and TPS65218D0 for your reference.
AM437x ( not using RTC, only power IO 3.3V）：DCDC4→LDO1→LS1→DCDC1）
TPS65218D0: LDO1→LS1→DCDC4→DCDC1

The describe of power sequence with RTC disabled in AM437's user guide , is different from the describe of power sequence in TPS65218D0's user guide , like the pictures in above question.

So , can TPS65218D0 be used to power AM4372 when disabling RTC?

The PMIC only follows one sequence and cannot be changed. The RTC is needed to stay enabled regardless of you use it.
