Hello,

I need example projects for 66Ak2g12 SoC.

Secondly, how will I program QSPI flash using UART terminal. I have been using OMAPL-138 for more than 2 years.

The OMAPL-138 programming method is given below,

First compile the ARM and DSP projects.

Enter the entry addresses of ARM and DSP projects from their respective mak file into the bootloader project and compile that bootloader project.

Convert the bootloader project's .out file into .ais file using AISgen utility.

Convert the .out files of both ARM and DSP projects into a combined single .bin file using out2rprc.exe application.

Change the boot pins of OMAPl-138 to UART2 and program the NAND flash through sfh_OMAP-L138.exe utility by mentioning the location of .bin and .ais file and com port of UART terminal.

Will its programming method is same as OMAPL-138.

I am really confused about 66AK2g12 programming method.

Awais,

66AK2G12 is a device that has a different boot design compared to OMAPL138. It doesn`t use the AISGen image format. The K2G uses a general purpose header format as the Technical reference document indicates. Also, the flashing and boot tooling for creating and programming the flash are not the same.

RTOS related software for K2G is supported using PRocessor SDK RTOS which you can download from link below:

Please follow the procedure described here for booting application on the K2G ARM and DSP cores:

Processor SDK RTOS is misleading name as this provides bare-metal as well as TI RTOS based components.

Foundational components like Chip support library, secondary bootloader, OS abstraction layer(OSAL), board configuration and diagnostics are all developed with bare-metal code and designed to work with RTOS and bare-metal applications.

Hope that helps clarify the bootloader and software offering.
