AM5728: TPM with AM5728 ?

Part Number: AM5728

Hi,

Has Anyone used TPM with TI AM5728 ?

We have a board based on TI AM5728. We have connected ATMEL TPM with I2C interface.

We want to use TPM with u-boot for secure boot.

u-boot has a driver for i2c TPM.

Do we need TSS client in u-boot for TPM access or driver is sufficient ?

can anybody guide, how to proceed ?

  • I would also like to add that we cannot use TI HS (High Secure) device due to our business restrictions. So that's why we are planning to use TI GP device with TPM to implement secure boot.

  • Rohit,

TI doesn't have experience with Atmel TPMs being used for securing boot. As you correctly observe, our suggestion would be to use a secure device with so that the root of trust is secured entirely within the chip from time zero.

So since this question is really about software drivers to interact with the Atmel TPM, our recommendation would be to consult with Atmel support.

We'll leave this thread open for a few days in case the broader community has additional contributions. If there are no further replies after that time we will close the thread.
