CSL function can not be recognized

 Hello:

I am using ccs5.0 with MCSDK2.0 and 6678,I have build the csl as described in  the MCSDK user guide,Although there exits errors,if I inport a project which has been compiled successfully wth csl functions ,the csl functions' font change ,i think it means ccs5.0 can recognized the functions, but if I use csl functions in a 6678project ,I got errors says I have undefined symbols, and the functions' font is not correct ,I don't know whether it is because I don't have the right library such as c64x+_intc.lib etc.under my ccs5.0 folder I can't find a .lib like that, looking forward to any suggestions,or can someone give me a project which can correctly recognize CSL functions(or receive interrupt)?thank you very much !

  • The intc library I suspect you are looking for is un C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\pdk_C667#_1_0_0_##\packages\ti\csl\lib\ti.csl.intc.ae66.  The "#" are placeholders for numbers that change with versions; there are no "#" characters in the actual pathnames.

If the ti.csl.intc.ae66 library is missing and you have a pdk (C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\pdk_C667#_1_0_0_##) prior to 1.0.0.13, there was a problem rebuilding the CSL such that some object files are missing.  There is no issue with these versions of the PDK if you use the pre-compiled binaries.  The current version can be downloaded from http://www.ti.com/tool/bioslinuxmcsdk.

In the newer MCSDK/PDK, there is a couple simple examples using CSL for interrupts.  Please see:

    C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\pdk_C667#_1_0_0_##\packages\ti\drv\exampleProjects\qmInfraMCExampleProject

    C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\pdk_C667#_1_0_0_##\packages\ti\drv\exampleProjects\hyplnk_exampleProject

  • hello John:

thank you very much ,that is just what I want ,but now I meet another problem,I have download the MCSDK from the website ,but when I install it ,it stop running when executing "copying xdctools_setwin32##.exe",the state keeps running for hours ,There is a xdc folder after I install the CCS5,is there need to use the  xdctools_**.exe ?It seems if it can not be copied ,there will meet more problems in the latter execution of the setting-up process.looking forward for your reply, thank you!

  • I have not seen a problem like this when installing mcsdk on win xp.  Are you running on win7?  If so, is the installer running as administrator?  Otherwise, I need to have someone else follow up on the installation problems.

  • I have encountered the problem once.

And it has no influence as long as the content of the XDCTools directory is integrated.

which version of XDCTools you used?

  •   The MCSDK want to copy xdctools_setupwin32_3_22_01_21,and the xdctools_3_20_08_88 folder is under ccsv5 after install the ccs,If the copy is not successfully done ,the install process after the copy can not be successfully ,any methods to solve it?

  • Yes,I install it on Win 7,and i don't know what do you mean by "run as administrator",my computer only have one account .I want to download a

xdc##.exe and IPC##.exe(which also has the problem),

but didn't find where to download them ,can you give me the address? or send them to me?I want to try whether this can solve the problem

  • To run as adminstrator, don't double click on the installer.  Instead, right click on it and select "run as administrator".  If the option isn't available then it indicates you don't have adminstrator access (which makes it difficult/impossible to install software in system directories).  No guarantees this helps, but I have found that explicit run as adminstrator solves some installation problems on my win 7 machine at home.

The individual XDC tools can be downloaded from: http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/index.html

  • I tried to install it as administrator, but has no use,and I also tried to download the xdc#.exe and the ipc#.exe into the ccs folder where the mcsdk want to copy them ,and then run the mcsdk-setup as administrator, the copy of files can run and at the end of copy appear a message "bad end of central directory record",and then the install started ,the ipc is first installed, but it can not successfully finish it ,and the process seems halt ,so many problems exits ,i can not think of any other thing I can do to get them solved ,any moe suggestions?thank you very much!

  • Did you tried it again after deleting the xdc folders created before? Please remove all the folder and if you see it in add/remove program list go ahead and uninstall these modules and then start the MCSDK installation from scratch.

    Thanks,

    Arun.
