DVR RDK DM8148 EVM Video Encode

Hi,

Is there ant use case or example in DVR RDK for HD encoding for the DM8148 EVM?how ever DVR_RDK_DM814x supports 4D1 & 8CIF?is there any limitation?

Does there exist any example or use case for this? Where can I find it?

There is no readymade usecase for HD capture encode on 814x. You will have to create a new usecase.How are you capturing HD on 814x EVM ? Do you have a expansion IO daughter card ?

Porting DVR RDK as is to 8127 platform is simple. You will just have to select 814x configuration. However it looks like you are using 8127 to do ISS capture which means you have to merge IPNC RDK and DVR RDK functionality and this is not trivial. I think IPNC RDK can be used as is for your usecase of capture->encode . What is the feature you are looking for in DVR RDK that is missing in IPNC RDK ?

Hi Badri,

Thanks for your fast response.

Our requirement is something like this;

Capture->Encode->Send over IP and

Receive over IP->Decode->Display.

I wanted to port NVR application given for DM816x to DM814x and send over IP using RFC-6184 Video over IP with RTP encapsulation, so that i can play the stream in VLC.

Please comment.
