Which development kit for BiSS master evaluation?

Hi.

I would like to evaluate BiSS-C interface on my product (slave), which runs on a Cortex-M4F based MCU from a different vendor. I would like to test BiSS protocol, especially communication via CDS, CDM bits. Thus, the controller (master) which I am looking for, must support BiSS-C protocol. It must offer also Control communication interface via CDS, CDM bits. I found three different boards listed below, but I am a tittle bit confused which one would be the most appropriate. I would really appreciate, if you can provide any help.

The BiSS C interface runs primarily on the Sitara AM437x ICSS-PRU and not on the A9 processor. The most comprehensive description of the interface as implemented on the AM437x is contained in http://www.ti.com/tool/tidep0022.

http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdsidk437x is the EVM which is used to support the Sitara AM437x industrial communications and control algorithms.

http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDEP0057 provides a description of a AM437x based system which supports three position encoder formats.

Hi David.

First, thank you for your reply. If I understand right, the firmware for BiSS-C master, which is runs on AM437x EVM is free of charge? And, we need to purchase only a development board. Please, correct me, if I am wrong.

Regretfully, the BiSS C software is not yet available in the SYSBIOS Industrial SDK package.
When it is incorporated - it will be free of charge.
Unfortunately we do not have a date yet for this.
