Linux: How to rotate LCD display on am4376

Have a look at Section 13.1.2 Unsupported Features of the device TRM, Table 13-1. Unsupported Display Subsystem Features:
Rotation/Mirroring No SDRAM rotation engine implemented on device

You need to rotate the application using a custom program and then pass the rotated image to the fb.

Sorry if this seems to go on & on... but this is still related to the LCD/Linux question/issue, but I'm interfacing these questions for another set of engineers:
"The problem we encountered was incorrect memory settings. The AM437x apparently has the ability to have a name set, and the linux drivers from TI that we are using have a few spots where it initializes certain functions based on the name of the board. Our boards / micros don’t have anything set, so our memory settings were going to some default value. The result was much slower performance. We eventually figured this out and used the eval board settings.

My question is twofold. How do you set the board name and how many instances of this are in the TI provider drivers. "

All of our Sitara EVMs have an on board EEPROM that holds board specific ID and configuration information

The question of 'how many places is this ID info if referenced by drivers', I have no idea. That’s the real question, how many places in the source do they have to account for not having the ID EEPROM? I don’t know the answer to that.
